
Dean is a seasoned energy sector strategist and senior executive who has been active in the energy sector for more than 25 years. He has deep experience in multidisciplinary projects with broad energy sector experience across global markets in mergers and acquisitions, deal structuring, project development and operations and maintenance.
Working across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia he has led teams developing conventional (gas and coal) and renewable energy projects (solar, hydro, wind, biomass and biogas) for ENGIE, formerly GdF Suez, the global electricity utility and energy service company. During his time at ENGIE he was variously responsible for market entry into the UK, upstream biomass production in British Columbia, Canada, and the development of renewable projects in Indonesia.
Before becoming a founding member of 123V, he was responsible for leading ENGIE’s renewable development activities in Australia, growing a 2GW pipeline of solar and wind projects and the origination of corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) deals.
